Gray Fox Realty wants to give you the most relevant information and allow you to make a decision that benefits your family and your home values.

In this blog we are informing about the new proposed sales tax for Williamson County that is currently undergoing early voting.   This increased sales tax is to increase money to renovate and build new schools in the county.  This is after last year the county passed an increased impact fee on new construction housing that was to fund new school construction only.

TIMELINE:
Early Voting ends Thursday February 1st, 2018.
Election day is Tuesday February 6th, 2018.

DETAILS:
This referendum is to increase the local sales tax from 2.25% to 2.75%.
After the 3rd year concludes half of the increase will go to school maintenance and half will go to the cities for road and public safety.

The school System in Williamson County is already a shining star in Tennessee School system and our students have done great things but the school system appears to need more growth and updating to keep this system strong.

The proponents of the referendum have a website up at www.VoteforSchools.tn and on that site you can see why they feel the funds are needed to continue to excel and protect home values in the area.

Gray Fox Realty wants you to do your research and make an informed decision and Vote on this subject.
