The Grumbles Team of EXIT Realty of the South has posted the Westhaven Subdivision October 2009 Housing Market update.

The average price per square foot remained unchanged from the report last month at $167.5.  There were 5 home sales in September, up 1 from August.  Pendings decreased slightly which is expected for this time of the year heading in to the slower months of November and December.  77 properties are still active on the market in Westhaven and the average price per square foot of those listings is $175.4.

In the last 45 days in Westhaven the private golf course has opened for play and in the coming days the Harris Teeter grocery store will have a grand opening.  The business and retail strip center that shares the parking lot with Harris Teeter has great visibility to Hwy 96W so the traffic can see that progress is being made on the town center and will soon be conducting their business here.  The elementary school located inside the Westhaven community has gotten underway in the past few months so Westhaven real estate is a very popular subject right now and with all of these projects coming together the future looks bright and the time to buy is now.
